Church of Saint George

Hagios Giorgios, Aya Yorgi

The Greek Orthodox church is at the peak of the archipelago, Yücetepe at 203 m. It's a steep 30 min walk up from Birlik Meydanı, too steep for a bicycle. The church building is unexceptional, but the backyard has a great view of the other islands and the sea. It's mobbed on St George's day, see below.
