Bada Bing
One of two possible scenarios awaits you at Bada Bing: show up for happy hour or at dinnertime and the atmosphere is more like a sports bar, with TVs ringing the barroom tuned to various games and decent prices for an okay selection of beer, wine (the house pinot noir is surprisingly good), and mixed drinks to wash down your Italian-inflected pub grub with. But later on at night the vibe becomes more traditionally "Chippewa-esque": the music is cranked up (there's no dance floor, though); the dress code comes into effect, and bouncers appear at the door.

Bada Bing
Bada Bing was one of the last holdouts at the former Delaware Court Building, which was demolished at the end of 2013 to make way for a new high-rise — but now it's back in a new location at the other end of Chippewa Street. Head chef Dominic Paladino serves up "pub grub with an Italian twist" (in the words of an Artvoice feature story from some years ago): "sangwiches" of garlic bread and grated cheese, as well as pasta, chicken and sausage parmigiana, chicken wings and fingers, salads, and a full drink menu.

To go along with Bacchus' superlative food menu is an extensive wine list that covers all imaginable varieties and regions, as well as a knowledgeable staff to help you navigate it. The vibe is relaxed, upscale, and (dare we say it) romantic, making for a stark contrast with the other nightlife experiences on this stretch of Chippewa, and the bar is ample enough to afford you some elbow room (though the seating isn't the most comfortable in the world).
