Despite Lincoln Coin & Stamp's downtown location, ample free parking is available!

Tupper is a busy street, always full of cars rushing to the Kensington Expressway entrance, so it's remarkable that Jaclyn Krajewski's eponymous artisan chocolate and wine lounge sports such a pleasantly secluded vibe: the quaint and elegant decor and cozy intimacy will make you think you're somewhere in the French countryside. What a setting for a slate of artfully crafted ganaches, truffles and other confections, which come expertly paired with fine wines at a reasonable price — and if you're not in the mood for chocolate, how about a cheese plate or maybe a macaron from The Blue Eyed Baker?

"WHAT IS METAGAMA?" is the question that confronts you (literally, in huge block letters) on their website — and to be honest, it'd probably be quicker to list what Metagama isn't. Fashions (from vintage to up-to-the-minute styles), books, collectibles, records, even art installations all share space in this diminutive shop. The key is curation, which is done with mind-boggling expertise: these folks really have their finger on the pulse of what's in style and in demand, and the inventory constantly changes to reflect it. Somehow, some way, they always know what you need and have it on the shelf waiting when you arrive. And if they don't have it, they'll track it down for you: just shoot them an e-mail with a description and/or photo of what you're in the market for.
