Walk up to Lindenhof. The hill in the heart of the old town offers a beautiful view of the city and was once the location of a Roman fort. Arrive here just before sunset to find a good spot. The sun sets toward the WSW, so position yourself to catch the fading light over the cityscape.

Mains cost Fr. 25-50. It is open until 22:00, so you have plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely meal after the dark falls.

End the night at Kronenhalle. The city's most famous restaurant is where the glitterati go to see and be seen. Enjoy good Swiss food and heavenly chocolate mousse among original artwork by famous Swiss and European artists. It is open until 00:00, making it the perfect late-night destination.
Local tip
