Timeline
15:01
Start at Bierhalle Wolf with a local beer and some of their great local food. It is lively, often with live music, and only a short walk from the museum.
16:01
Walk nine minutes WSW to Lindenhof. This hill in the heart of the old town was once a Roman fort and offers a beautiful view of the city. Arrive early to find your spot.
17:01
Watch the sun set toward the WSW at 17:01. The golden light starting at 16:12 will have already washed over the city, but the sunset itself is the key moment.
17:46
End the evening at Kronenhalle. This is the city's most famous restaurant where the glitterati go to see and be seen. You can dine among original artwork by famous Swiss and European artists while enjoying good Swiss food and heavenly chocolate mousse.
Local tip
Kronenhalle is open until 24:00, so you have plenty of time after sunset to enjoy the atmosphere and the chocolate mousse.
