Zalakaros

Zalakaros is a town of 1,800 people (2011) in Lake Balaton region. Zalakaros is famous for its thermal spring bath. For children, it also has a waterpark (an "indoor and outdoor adventure bath"). It gained its fame in 1962, when prospective oil drilling struck a nearly 96 c source at a depth of 2000 m. The spa was opened in 1965.
