Sip a coffee or beer at Kafe Zolotoye Kolzo. It is a colorful mix of cafeteria and bar, just five minutes from the monastery. The atmosphere is relaxed, and you can warm up before heading out.
15:55
Walk to the Monastery of the Presentation. The restored 17th-century churches stand stark against the winter sky. Use the last twenty minutes to find a quiet spot and orient yourself toward the southwest, where the sun is setting.
16:15
Watch the golden light hit the church facades. At 15:03, the low sun casts long shadows and warms the stone. The sun sets toward the SW, aligning perfectly with the view from the monastery grounds.
16:45
End the evening at Restoran Tokio. Located at the back of the shopping halls, it is only one minute from the monastery. The red sofas and black drapes offer a cozy, dimly lit space to digest your thoughts and the day.
Local tip
The sun sets toward the SW. Position yourself on the monastery grounds facing southwest for the best view of the golden light on the towers. Restoran Tokio is open until 24:00, so you have plenty of time to linger after the light fades.
