Check in and change into your swimwear. The onsen is large with relaxing areas and baths. Start with a rinse and then head straight to the main baths to warm up while the light is still bright.
16:09
Soak in the baths as the sun begins its descent. The water is warm and the atmosphere is calm. This is the perfect time to watch the sky change color through the windows or from the outdoor edge if available.
16:39
Watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the WSW in winter, WNW in spring and summer, and due West in autumn. The golden light starts about 40 minutes before the sun dips below the horizon. Enjoy the view from the onsen area.
17:09
Head to the attached restaurant for dinner. You are already inside the facility. Order a hot local meal to refuel after your soak. The restaurant is open until 21:00.
17:39
Stay for a drink or just relax in the resting area. The onsen closes at 21:00, so you have time to linger. It is a quiet way to end the evening.
