Walk 10 minutes SW up the hill to the Kofuen Sumo Ring. This outdoor ring is open to the public. Pay the 200 yen fee and find a spot on the grass or benches.

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The golden light starts around 15:58, building to the sunset at 16:39. The open space of the ring offers a clear view of the horizon.

Walk 7 minutes ENE down to Honjo Park. Have a picnic in the park as the light fades, enjoying the quiet atmosphere after the view from the hill.
Local tip
The Kofuen Sumo Ring is on top of the hill. Wear comfortable shoes for the short walk up.
