Arrive at Levon's Divine Underground. This complex of stairs, corridors, and rooms was dug over 23 years by Levon Arakelyan. His wife currently organizes excursions through the site, so you will need to coordinate with her upon arrival to see the structure she maintains.
10:30
Walk 40 minutes to the Botanical garden of Yerevan. This is a long trek, so use the time to rest and reflect on the underground structure. The garden holds over 200 species of endemic and rare plants, offering a peaceful contrast to the rock tunnels.
11:10
Stroll through the botanical garden. Note that the park's condition has declined due to funding issues since the Soviet era, but it remains a quiet space for nature lovers.
12:00
Find a spot to sit and have a snack. Since there are no food or drink shops listed in the immediate vicinity of these two sites, bring your own provisions. The garden provides a calm environment to end your excursion.
Local tip
The walk between the underground and the garden is 40 minutes. Plan your energy accordingly. Check the route for transport options if you do not wish to walk the full distance.
