Start with a coffee and a pastry at The Coast. It sits right at the base of the Cascades, so you can grab your fuel and look up at the white stone stairs while you eat. The menu covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so it is open and ready for you.

Cascades, Sculpture Park and Cafesjian Museum
Walk up the Cascades. This Art Deco structure stretches nearly the height of the Empire State Building and serves as the Armenian version of the Guggenheim. You will pass the Sculpture Park with its Botero statues on the way up. The museum is open until 17:00 on weekdays, which gives you plenty of time to explore the lower levels or just enjoy the architecture before the sun dips.
17:45
Head back down to The Coast or find a seat on the terrace if the weather holds. You want to be positioned here as the sky shifts color. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting long shadows across the city. This is the moment the white stone glows gold before turning blue in the twilight.
18:30
End the evening with a glass of wine at In Vino. It is the first wine bar on Saryan Street and remains a popular spot. Being open 24/7, it is the perfect place to settle in after the cold air and reflect on the view you just watched fade.
Local tip
The museum hours change on weekends (open until 20:00), but on weekdays like 15 January, they close at 17:00. Plan your ascent so you are not rushing out the door when the sun is still up.
