17:05
Grab a bite at O'Haïra Walet. This regional restaurant is open from 12:00 to 22:00, so you will have plenty of time to eat before the sun goes down. It is a short 7-minute walk from the lake.
17:50
Walk to Lac Municipal. This artificial lake in the governmental quarters is the only real body of water in the city and offers a quiet escape from the noise. Take the time to find a good spot facing west.
18:20
Watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the WSW, providing a dramatic backdrop over the water. The golden light begins about 30 minutes before, so you can enjoy the changing colors as the sky darkens.
18:50
End the evening at Panoramique bar. Located on top of the Hilton Hotel, this is one of the few places where you can listen to music while having a drink. It is a 9-minute walk from the lake.
Local tip
The sun sets toward the WSW in January, W in April and October, and WNW in July. Check the specific sunset direction for your visit date to find the best viewing angle at the lake.
