Timeline

  1. 14:34

    Korea House

Grab a bite at Korea House. The business lunch is reasonably priced and the service is excellent. It is a cozy start before heading out into the cold.

  2. 15:04

The Suorun Omollona State Theater of Opera and Ballet

Walk to The Suorun Omollona State Theater of Opera and Ballet. The theater is open until 18:00, so you have time to explore the exterior or catch the last glimpse of the afternoon light around the building before the sun dips low.

  3. 15:34

МАУ "Центральный парк культуры и отдыха"

Head to the Central Park of Culture and Leisure. From the theater, it is a 21-minute walk north. This is the spot to watch the sun set toward the SW. The park offers a wide, open view of the sky as the golden light fades.

  4. 16:19

    Kaban

End the evening at Kaban bar in the same park. It is only an 8-minute walk from the park viewing area. With the sun gone, you can warm up with a drink and enjoy the quiet atmosphere as night falls.

Local tip

The walk between the theater and the park takes about 21 minutes. Dress warmly, as January evenings in Yakutsk are extremely cold. The sunset is brief, so arrive at the park with plenty of time to spare.
