Daming Palace National Heritage Park
Walk to Daming Palace National Heritage Park. Enter the grounds and head toward the enormous open square. The ancient palace gate and the model of the palace next to it are the focal points.

Daming Palace National Heritage Park
Watch the sunset. On 15 October the sun sets toward the W, casting golden light over the square and the Tang dynasty gate structure.

Daming Palace National Heritage Park
Stay inside the park after the sun goes down. The square sometimes hosts public performances, and the IMAX theatre is available if you want to stay indoors.
Local tip
Check the route from Xi'an Book Building to Daming Palace National Heritage Park. In autumn and winter (October 16th to March 14th), the park closes at 18:00 with last entry at 17:30. On 15 October, the park is open until 18:00, so you have time to enter before the moment, but plan to leave or stay inside before the gates close.
