    Walk through the excavated ruins of the West Market. This on-site archaeological museum is free to enter, so you can spend as long as you like wandering the historic grounds before the light changes.

    Head east to Xiangmiyuan for a quiet break. This park is just an 11 minute walk from the museum and offers a peaceful spot to rest before the main event.

    Watch the sun set toward the west. From Xiangmiyuan, you are positioned to see the day end as the sky shifts colors over the city.

The museum closes at 17:00 in winter, so ensure you have enough time to explore inside before the golden light begins at 17:36.
