Timeline
19:12
Grab a craft beer at The Armsby Abbey. The taproom is spacious and the staff know the local scene well. It is a good place to settle in and watch the evening build.
19:42
Walk up to Green Hill Park. The 29-minute climb from the anchor is worth it for the space. Find a spot on the grass or a bench facing west. The park is large enough that you can find a quiet corner away from the crowds.
20:22
Watch the sun sink toward the WNW. The golden light lasts from 19:40 until the sun disappears at 20:22. The sky usually turns a deep purple over the trees before the city lights come on.
20:52
Head back down to The Armsby Abbey for dinner or a late-night pint. The pub is open until 21:00 on weekdays and 22:00 on weekends, so you can stay a while after the walk down.
Local tip
The Armsby Abbey is Worcester's flagship farm-to-table spot and frequently wins awards for best restaurant. If you prefer a lighter bite, Crust Artisan Bakeshop nearby offers excellent pastries and coffee, though they do not serve espresso.
