Timeline

  1. 15:54

    Fuel America - Grove Street

Grab a coffee to go. Fuel America is open and close enough to start your walk without rushing.

  2. 16:19

    Institute Park

Walk to Institute Park. It is just nine minutes from the anchor area. Find a spot near the edge of Institute Pond. The park is built on donated land from 1887 and offers sweeping views as the light changes.

  3. 16:39

    Institute Park

Watch the sun sink toward the WSW. The golden light that began at 15:56 will fade into the sunset at 16:39, casting long shadows over the pond.

  4. 17:09

    The Armsby Abbey

End the evening at The Armsby Abbey. It is a short walk away and open until 21:00 on weekdays. Enjoy a craft beer in one of the city’s best bars to warm up after the chill of the park.

Local tip

Institute Park is small but effective for sunset views. If you prefer a more rugged trail, Newton Hill is an option, but the trees may block the direct view of the setting sun.
