Walk up the winding forest road Die Winde from the town center. The climb takes you past the Western Gate and through the woods until you reach the Försterplatz area.

Stop at the Waldgasthaus Armeleuteberg for a snack or lunch. The menu reflects the local hunting area with venison, boar, and wild mushrooms. It is open from 10:00 to 18:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays through Sundays.
13:50
Continue the final 400 meters up to the Kaiserturm (Emperor Tower). Enjoy the super views of Wernigerode from the summit.
Local tip
The walk up Die Winde is long and winding. Allow enough time to reach the inn before it closes at 18:00 if you plan to eat there. The Kaiserturm is a short walk from the inn.
