Take the ferry from the wood decked ferry port on Jiangbin Lu to reach Jiangxin Island. Arrive with enough time to walk up to the viewing spot before the light changes.

Walk 12 minutes east from the ferry landing to Jiangxin Temple. Find a quiet spot near the temple grounds or the old pagoda to watch the sky lighten over the river.

Stand at Jiangxin Temple as the sun rises toward the WSW. The early morning light will reflect off the Oujiang river, creating a soft, golden atmosphere around the temple and the water.

After the sunrise moment, walk back through the island gardens. The park is open, and you can take a moment to breathe in the fresh air before the day fully begins.

Head to the ferry port on Jiangbin Lu. Check the route for the return trip to the mainland. Once back on land, find a local breakfast spot or coffee shop to warm up and start your day.
Local tip
The island is accessible by bus no. 46, but it is currently under construction and temporarily closed. The ferry is the reliable way to get there. Bring a light layer as it can be cool near the water at dawn.
