Arrive at the Kilimanjaro Safaris entrance. The ESE approach is the shortest walk from the main park entrance area. Get your ticket scanned and head straight for the loading area before the general crowd arrives.

Board the safari jeep. You will be one of the first groups on the route. The early light offers the best chance to see the lions, giraffes, and rhinos active in the wetlands and savanna habitats before the heat and crowds disperse them.

Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail
Walk the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. This short, forested path is right near the safari exit. It is quieter in the morning, giving you a chance to spot hippos and gorillas in peace.

Head to Tusker House for the Donald's Safari Breakfast buffet. It opens with the park, so you can grab a seat and enjoy African-inspired flavors while the morning light fills the room.
Local tip
Tusker House is the only restaurant at Animal Kingdom with character dining at breakfast. Arriving right at park open ensures you get a table without a long wait.
