Grab a coffee and a pastry at Bageriet. This day-time tapasbar turns into a night-time pub and stays open year-round, making it a reliable stop before heading up the hill. The outdoor seating on the main square is pleasant in the mild afternoon light.
15:19
Walk 18 minutes southwest to DBW's Botanical Gardens. Enter through the "Door of Love" to wander among the trees and ruins. This detour adds a touch of greenery and quiet before the main event, and the garden is open during the late afternoon hours.
15:34
Arrive at Galgberget for the sunset. The sun sets toward the southwest at 15:34, casting long shadows across the nature reserve. Stand near the remaining 13th-century gallows to watch the light fade over the landscape. The golden light period begins around 14:16, so the sky will be glowing by the time you reach the top.
16:04
Head back down to Packhusplan for dinner. Bolaget is located at the sunniest place of the main square and offers great French food or barbecue steak. It is open until 02:00, so you can stay as late as you like to digest the view and the air.
Local tip
The walk from the gardens to Galgberget is short but involves some elevation. Wear sturdy shoes. If you prefer a quicker route from the city center, check the route for County Road 149.
