Start at Artistai pub. The large courtyard is a great place to relax and watch the sunset. Order a local beer and settle in before the light changes.

Walk north into the New City Centre. The 21st century glass and steel skyscrapers, including the 148 m Europa Tower, are visible from afar. Stand in the open spaces between the buildings to frame the skyline.

Watch the sun set toward the SW. The golden light hits the glass facades of the business district just before the sun dips below the horizon at 16:23.

Head to RadhaRane for a late dinner. This vegetarian Indian restaurant offers a good menu choice and is open until 20:00, giving you plenty of time to eat after dark.
Local tip
Artistai's courtyard is the key. It is one of the few spots near the New City Centre that actually faces the sunset direction (SW). If you are there on a Friday or Saturday, check if there is live music, but the view is the main event.

- Artistai is open Mo 11:00-24:00; Tu,We 11:00-01:00; Th,Fr 11:00-16:00; Sa 12:00-17:00; Su 12:00-24:00. On Thursday, it closes at 16:00, which is before sunset on 15 January. Avoid Thursday.
- RadhaRane is open Mo-Sa 11:00-20:00; Su 12:00-18:00. It closes at 20:00 on weekdays, which is fine for a dinner after sunset.
