Timeline
14:17
Grab a coffee and a pastry at Panama Food Garden. It is open until 22:00, so you have plenty of time before the evening chill sets in.
15:07
Walk north to Suderve Cemetery. Head straight to the northern end where the Jewish section and the re-interred scholar Vilna Gaon are located. The open space here offers a clear view toward the southwest.
16:23
Stand in the northern section and watch the sun set toward the southwest at 16:23. The golden light starting at 15:17 will have already warmed the stone markers.
16:53
End the walk back at Panama Food Garden for a warm drink as the light fades.
Local tip
The cemetery is large. Stick to the northern end for the specific history and the best unobstructed view of the sunset direction.
