Timeline

  1. 18:53

    Gate of Dawn

Arrive at the Gate of Dawn before the golden light begins. Stand in the square and wait for the sun to rise from the west-northwest, illuminating the chapel’s icon and the stone archway. The light is soft and cool, perfect for quiet observation before the city wakes.

  2. 19:43

    Bistro 18

Walk five minutes to Bistro 18. It is open from 11:30 on Saturdays. Order a coffee and a slice of their European cake. The small wine bar atmosphere is calm this early, and you can watch the morning commuters pass by.

  3. 20:23

    Alaus Namai

Head to Alaus Namai for a proper Lithuanian breakfast. This pub is open from 12:00 on Saturdays. Sit in the big saloon and try a beer from a less-known local brand with a hearty plate of food. It is a sturdy, welcoming end to the morning.

Local tip
