Arrive at Pha That Luang as it opens. The morning light is clear and the site is quiet. Walk through the outer gates into the inner courtyard to see the Buddha statues up close before the midday rush.

Walk six minutes to Kop Kap for a late morning snack or early lunch. This spot is a favorite among expats and is known for its excellent Penang curry. Note that it is packed at lunch, so arriving early helps.

Head seven minutes away to Vesti Coffee for a quiet drink. It is open from early morning, making it a reliable spot to rest and reflect on the morning’s visit.
Local tip
Pha That Luang is open from 08:00 to 17:00. Kop Kap is closed on Sundays. Vesti Coffee is open daily from 07:00 to 19:00.
