Grab a coffee or pastry at the café near the center. It opens at 10:00 on weekends, so you have plenty of time before the light turns.

Walk four minutes east to the Vár-hegyi kilátó viewpoint. This is the best spot to watch the sky change color as the sun heads west.

Head back to the Királyrét Excursion Center area. If it is a weekend, the buffet at Várhegy Restaurant is running from 12:00 to 17:00, perfect for a post-sunset meal. On weekdays, the à la carte menu is available until 21:00.
Local tip
The golden light lasts about an hour. Arrive early enough to secure a good spot at the viewpoint without crowding.
