    Grab a cocktail at the only queer bar in Malta. The guests spill out into the street, making it a lively place to start your evening.

    The Upper Barrakka Gardens

    Walk 6 minutes south to the Upper Barrakka Gardens. Find a spot overlooking the Grand Harbour and wait for the sun to dip below the horizon.

    Trabuxu Wine Bar

    Head back down to the old town. Find the wine bar in the ancient cellar at the beginning of the alley parallel to Republic Street. Enjoy a glass of wine and light meals as the night settles in.

Local tip

The wine bar is opposite the bistro on South Street, so look for the wooden sign with the corkscrew to find the right entrance.
