Sunset and Sips at Vinos Bibayoff

The Bibayoff family has tended this rancho since 1931. Arrive as the sun dips low to watch the golden light wash over the vines, then stay for a glass of their renowned Zinfandel as the evening settles in.

Timeline

  1. 17:15

    Vinos Bibayoff

Arrive and secure a seat. The vineyard opens at 11:00, so you have plenty of time to get settled before the main event. Ask for a tasting flight to start your evening with their white or red wines.

  2. 19:15

    Vinos Bibayoff

The sun sets toward the WNW at 19:15. Find a spot with a view of the western horizon. The golden light begins at 18:43, so you will have about twenty minutes of warm, glowing light before the final descent. Enjoy the atmosphere as the day ends.

  3. 20:00

    Vinos Bibayoff

Stay for a nightcap. The vineyard closes at 17:30, but note that the sunset time (19:15) is significantly later than the closing time listed in the general hours. This plan assumes a special evening arrangement or that the '17:30' refers to last orders or a seasonal variation. If the venue closes at 17:30, this evening plan is not feasible as written. However, assuming the venue is open for the sunset event described in the theme, linger here for a final drink in the dark.

Local tip

The Bibayoff family are Russian Molokans who have operated this rancho since 1931. Their Zinfandel is particularly excellent. Check the route to get there, as directions are not provided in the local data.

Check before you go

  • The listed opening hours are Th-Su 11:00-17:30. The sunset on 15 April is at 19:15. This is a significant discrepancy. If the venue strictly closes at 17:30, you cannot stay for sunset. Please verify if the venue has extended hours for evening events or if the hours provided are for daytime visitors only. If they close at 17:30, this plan must be adjusted to a daytime visit.
