Walk to the Pedele river recreation zone. The river flows through the area and offers a nice spot for a swim in summer or just a quiet walk along the bank in the afternoon.

Head to the Putraskalna skatu platforma viewpoint. It is a short walk west from the river zone, offering a higher perspective over the area.
Local tip
Riia kohvik closes at 18:00 on weekdays, so arrive before then if you want food. The walk between the border area and the river is short and flat.
