Timeline
17:21
Grab a horchata and a bunyol at Horchatería Fabián. It is one of the few places outside of Fallas season to find these traditional treats. Go early to avoid the winter rush.
17:41
Walk to Parc Gulliver. Climb the giant 70-metre sculpture of Gulliver. The structure is unique and offers a playful break before the main event.
18:01
Head to the Palau de la Música. Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The enormous glass greenhouse-like structure will catch the last rays of light, creating a striking visual against the darkening sky.
18:31
End the evening at Mercat de Colón. This modernist marketplace is open late and offers a relaxed atmosphere with various cafés and tapas bars to enjoy after the cold air.
Local tip
The Palau de la Música ticket office closes at 21:00, but you do not need a ticket to view the exterior during sunset. Horchatería Fabián is particularly popular in winter, so arriving early is wise.
