    Horchatería Daniel

Start with a refreshing horchata at the most well-known spot in Alboraia. Established in 1949, this large horchatería is a local institution. Grab a glass of the tiger nut milk and a fartón before the afternoon heat sets in.

  2. 17:16

Via fèrria de l'antiga Via Xurra

Walk to the Via fèrria de l'antiga Via Xurra. This preserved section of the old Valencia-Puçol railway line offers a quiet, industrial-chic path. It is the perfect place to stretch your legs and prepare for the view.

  3. 18:01

    Parc Gulliver

Head to Parc Gulliver to watch the sunset. The giant Gulliver sculpture is the centrepiece of this unusual playground. As the sun sets toward the WSW, the long shadow of the sculpture stretches across the park. Climb on the sculpture for the best vantage point of the golden light fading over the tracks.

  4. 18:31

    Horchatería Fabián

End with hot chocolate and churros at Horchatería Fabián. This is one of the few places that sells bunyels (fried dough pastries) outside of the Fallas season. The warm pastries and chocolate are a perfect way to warm up as the evening chill sets in.

Local tip

Horchatería Daniel stays open until midnight, but Horchatería Fabián is the best spot for pastries in the evening. If you want to avoid the lunch rush at any of the nearby restaurants, arrive before 13:30 or after 15:30.
