Grab a coffee and a slice of cake at Café Årummet. The baroque interior is warm and inviting, and the riverside park seating gives you a preview of the evening’s scenery.

Walk to Linnéträdgården & Linnémuseet. Enter the garden early to find a quiet spot in the Baroque garden or near the Orangery. The gates close at 20:00, so you have plenty of time, but arriving early lets you soak in the history before the crowds leave.
15:21
Watch the sun set toward the SW. The golden light hits the historic buildings and the garden paths just before the sun dips below the horizon. This is the perfect moment to appreciate the view that made Linnaeus’ garden famous.
15:51
Güntherska Hovkonditori & Schweizeri
End the evening at Güntherska Hovkonditori & Schweizeri. It is a short walk from the garden. The large outdoor seating area on the eastern bank of the Fyris river is open until 19:00 on weekdays (or 18:00 on weekends). Order a hot meal or a drink and enjoy the calm river views as the city lights come on.
Local tip
The garden is free after 17:00, but if you want the audio guide and museum access, buy the 80 kr ticket. Guided tours in English are at 11:30 and 14:30, so arriving before the sunset ensures you can join one if you prefer a guided start to your visit.
