Timeline

  1. 11:00

    Linnés Hammarby

Arrive at Linnés Hammarby as it opens at 11:00. In May and September, the museum is open Friday through Sunday. From June to August, it opens Tuesday through Sunday. Use this quiet early window to explore the exterior gardens and grounds before the midday crowds arrive.

  2. 12:30

    Linnés Hammarby

Join the 12:30 English guided tour of the main building. This is the only way to see the interior. The tour covers the family history, 18th-century biology, and farming practices. Even if you miss the English slot, the Swedish tours at 11:30, 14:30, and 15:30 are open to everyone.

  3. 13:30

    Linnés Hammarby

Walk through the Linnaean Garden after your tour. The admission ticket grants you free entry to the garden after 17:00, but you can enjoy the grounds during your visit as well. It is a peaceful place to reflect on the natural history you just learned about.

Local tip
