    川東公園

Walk to Kawahigashi Park. It is just seven minutes from the anchor, sitting to the east-northeast. Arrive here early in the late afternoon to enjoy the open space and the first hints of golden light.

  2. 16:42

    Ujigami Shrine

Walk eight minutes east-southeast to Ujigami Shrine. This modest World Heritage site is one of Japan's oldest Shinto shrines. The late afternoon sun casts a soft glow on the historic structures, offering a peaceful moment before the evening rush.

  3. 17:22

    Kyogamo Kitchen Zen

After sunset, head three minutes north to Kyogamo Kitchen Zen for dinner. This restaurant is open until 21:00, making it a reliable spot for an evening meal as the sky turns dark.

  4. 17:52

    能登椽 稲房安兼

Finish your night three minutes away at Notoen Inubou Ankake. This café serves drinks and stays open until 18:00 on weekdays (Friday to Wednesday). Since this plan is set for January 15, a Tuesday, the venue is open. It is a quiet place to wind down after dinner.

Local tip

The sun sets toward the WSW on January 15. Ujigami Shrine faces generally west, so you will catch the final light on the building fronts. Kyogamo Kitchen Zen is open until 21:00, but Notoen Inubou Ankake closes at 18:00 on weekdays, so do not linger too long at dinner if you want a drink there.
