Timeline

    Fabbes Café

Grab a coffee and a cinnamon roll at Fabbes Café. It is a cosy small spot on the ÅA campus, perfect for warming up before the walk. The lunch options are available until 15:00, but the pastries are ready whenever you arrive.

  2. 13:33

    Joitakin teknokukkasia

Walk along the Aurajokiranta outdoor path to find Joitakin teknokukkasia. This light art installation by Eero Märimaa consists of stylized flower-shaped pillars that curve over the path. They are activated by motion sensors, so walk slowly past them to see the colours change as the golden light begins to fade.

  3. 14:33

    Kahvila Koroinen

End your walk at Kahvila Koroinen, located at the former Koroinen farm. It is a short walk from the art installation. Order lunch featuring fresh local vegetables or a slice of cake with coffee. The café is open on Sundays from 12:00 to 16:00.

Local tip

The motion sensors on the flower pillars require you to be moving to trigger the light changes. Stand still and they will dim.
