Grab a quick bite at Don Cafeto. This popular spot on the pueblo strip serves authentic Mexican food and is a reliable stop before the evening rush.

Head to El Gran Cenote. You have plenty of time to change into your swimsuit and explore the limestone cave. The cenote closes at 17:00, so you will want to enter before the golden light peaks to make the most of the swim.
17:58
Be in the water or right at the edge. The golden light hits the water and surrounding jungle at this moment, creating a serene atmosphere before the crowds arrive for the night.
18:58
End the evening with seafood at El Camello Jr. It is a local favorite with great prices. Be prepared for a crowd, as this is where the locals eat.
Local tip
El Gran Cenote closes at 17:00. If you arrive after that, you will not be able to enter. Plan your swim to finish by closing time so you can catch the light from the edge or nearby area.
