Golden Hour at Native Park

Catch the last warm light over the jungle canopy before the evening crowds arrive.

Best time: 15 January 2027About 90 min

Timeline

  1. 17:15

    Cetli

Pick up a drink and share a small plate at Cetli. The chef Claudia keeps the portion sizes generous, so one dish is enough to tide you over. The 17:00 opening time means you can settle in comfortably before the rush.

  2. 18:00

    Native Park Tulum

Walk 12 minutes from Cetli to Native Park Tulum. Find a spot on the elevated walkways or near the lagoon edge. The trees here filter the harsh afternoon glare, leaving you with clear views as the sky begins to shift colors.

  3. 18:30

    Native Park Tulum

Watch the sun dip toward the WSW. The golden light fades quickly into twilight, but the park remains open and quiet enough to enjoy the transition from day to night in the jungle.

  4. 19:00

    Antojitos La Chiapaneca

Head to Antojitos La Chiapaneca for dinner. It is only a short walk from the park. Order al pastor tacos and watch the staff work the spit. Be careful with the orange habanero salsa; the heat sneaks up on you.

Local tip

Cetli closes at 22:00, so finish your pre-sunset snack before then. Antojitos La Chiapaneca stays open late, so you can linger over dinner after the sun goes down.
