Timeline
09:00
Arrive at the Kume History and Folk Museum right when it opens. The quiet morning hours are the best time to explore the locally excavated artifacts from the Nasuyama ruins without the midday crowds.
10:30
Walk 40 minutes south to Umenosato Park. If you are visiting in February or March, this is the perfect time to see the 3,800 plum trees just before the cherry blossoms arrive.
11:10
Walk back north to the Kume History and Folk Museum for a final look at the exhibits or to rest in the museum grounds before heading home.
