Find a spot on the sand at Grand Traverse Bay Beach. The sun sets toward the WSW, so face that direction to catch the final glow of the day. The water is calm and the sky is usually clear enough to see the colors shift.

    Red Mesa Grill

Walk seven minutes to Red Mesa Grill. It is open until 22:00 on Sundays and 23:00 on weekdays, so you will have plenty of time. Order from their extensive menu of tacos and Mexican specialties. The place is very popular, so be prepared for a wait or arrive early for your table.

    Red Mesa Grill

Stay for a drink. Their tequila list is extensive and pairs well with the relaxed evening vibe. Finish your meal and head out when you are ready.
