    Holy Resurrection Cathedral

Arrive at the Hijiribashi exit of Ochanomizu Station and walk to the Holy Resurrection Cathedral. The restored 1800s building is best appreciated in the morning light before the crowds arrive. Note that the cathedral opens at 13:00 in April through September and 13:00 in October through March, so you will be viewing it from the outside and the surrounding area. The Hijiribashi bridge nearby is also worth a quick look for its attractive lighting.

    Marugo tonkatsu

Walk seven minutes to Marugo tonkatsu for a hearty lunch. This shop is known for high-quality donkatsu (pork cutlets) even if you are on a small budget. Note that it is closed on Mondays; it operates Wed-Sun from 11:30 to 14:00 for lunch and 17:00 to 20:00 for dinner.

  3. 11:10

    Kitanomaru Park

Stroll 24 minutes to Kitanomaru Park. This memorial park offers a pleasant, quiet space connected to the East Gardens. It is a convenient and peaceful way to extend your walk, leading towards Yasukuni Shrine and the Nippon Budōkan.
