Timeline

  1. 15:20

    Neko JaLaLa

Spend an hour with the cats at Neko JaLaLa. Remove your shoes, wash your hands, and enjoy a drink while the cats roam. It is a quiet way to start the evening before the city gets busy.

  2. 16:05

    Kanda Shrine

Walk to Kanda Shrine. Arrive at least 45 minutes before sunset to find a good spot. The red-pillared structure looks striking in the fading light, and you will avoid the peak crowds that arrive just before noon or at the height of the festival.

  3. 17:20

    Cure Maid Cafe

Head to Cure Maid Cafe for a drink and the atmosphere. It is the original of its kind and less overwhelming than some competitors. Note that a line can form on weekends, so go early if you are visiting on a Saturday or Sunday.

Local tip

Check the route to Kanda Shrine from Neko JaLaLa. The shrine description notes it gets packed, so arriving before the sunset moment is key.

Check before you go

  • Neko JaLaLa is open 11:00-19:00. Ensure you arrive before 19:00.
  • Cure Maid Cafe is open 11:00-19:00 (or later). Confirm it is still open after sunset (16:50 on Jan 15).
