    Komiteti Kafe Muzeum

Grab a raki at Komiteti Kafe Muzeum. This bohemian cafe-museum is packed with communist-era relics, from farming implements to antique radios. It is open from 07:00, so you can settle in comfortably before the crowd arrives. The walk from the pyramid is just two minutes.

  2. 17:40

    Piramid

Walk to the Piramid. The building was completely renovated and reopened in May 2023. It stands as a stark reminder of the communist era, having been the most expensive building erected under Hoxha. You are now positioned to see the structure as the sun begins to dip.

  3. 18:00

    Piramid

Watch the sunset. On 15 October, the sun sets at 18:00 toward the west. The light will hit the renovated facade of the pyramid, highlighting its unique pyramid shape against the darkening sky. This is the moment the building feels most alive.

  4. 18:30

    Rinia Park

End the evening in Rinia Park. This central public park is located just six minutes from the pyramid. It offers a peaceful space with open areas and trees, a perfect contrast to the heavy history of the pyramid. The park is accessible during daylight hours, making it a safe and pleasant spot to unwind after sunset.

Local tip

The pyramid is open during daylight, but the sunset view is best from the exterior. Rinia Park is a good place to stretch your legs after the walk. Check opening hours for any specific bars if you wish to stay later.
