Walk nine minutes ESE to Centenary Park. Find a spot on the banks of the river near the city stadium. The park is a pleasant five point six acres of green space ideal for watching the water flow.

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The light fades from the sky as the evening settles over the river.

Head back toward the Clock Tower area. Stop at Tower Cafe for a light meal or snack. It is bright and lively with a small outside seating area offering a view over the Clock Tower.
Local tip
Ambient Cafe is open until 21:00, so you have plenty of time for coffee before the walk. Tower Cafe stays open until 23:00, making it a comfortable place to end the evening.
