Timeline
16:13
Grab a late lunch or snack at Hummus Abu Dabi. The laid-back vibe and Reggae music make it a perfect spot to relax before the evening rush. Note that Fridays close early at 18:00, so this plan works best on other days.
16:43
Walk to Dizengoff Square. Find a spot near the large fountain with the mix of fire and water. This elevated square is a known symbol of the city and offers an unobstructed view toward the WSW, where the sun sets.
16:58
Watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting a warm glow over the fountain and the square. This is the peak moment for photos and soaking in the atmosphere.
17:28
End the evening at Mike's Place. This American-style bar is an 11-minute walk from the square. It features outdoor seating, which is pleasant in good weather, and live music every night. It is open until 04:00, so you can stay as late as you like.
Local tip
Dizengoff Square is a central hub, so expect some foot traffic. For the best view of the sunset, position yourself near the edge of the square facing west/southwest. Mike's Place is a reliable spot for live music and has a mostly Anglo crowd, making it easy to find a seat.
