Kit Carson Memorial State Park
Head to Kit Carson Memorial State Park. It is only a four-minute walk from the museum. Face west to watch the sun set toward the WSW, casting golden light over the park.

Local tip
The museum closes at 5 PM in October. Arrive early enough to see the exhibits before the sunset walk begins.
