Timeline
10:00
Walk into the three-domed hangar of the Seaplane Harbour. The space is vast and echoing. Head straight for the highlight: the complete submarine Lembit. Its interior offers a claustrophobic but fascinating glimpse into Soviet naval history. The morning light filters through the high windows, illuminating the dust and steel.
11:00
Walk one minute to Maru for a coffee and a break. This café is located just a stone's throw from the harbour entrance. It is the perfect spot to warm up and review your thoughts on the Lembit. The atmosphere is calm and local, a stark contrast to the tourist-heavy main hall.
11:30
Stroll 15 minutes to Kohvik Moon. This small, minimalistic restaurant is a favorite for good reason. Order a traditional Estonian dish with a Russian influence. The food is hearty and the service is attentive. It is a popular spot, so arriving at this stage ensures you get a table without a long wait.
Local tip
The Seaplane Harbour is open daily from 10:00 in the summer months. Arriving right at opening time, as suggested by the start time, allows you to explore the submarine in relative peace before the tour groups arrive.
