Timeline
16:44
Grab a slice of pizza and a coffee at Pizza Kiosk. It is open late and sits just a short walk from the beach area, giving you fuel before the long walk.
17:14
Walk to the Estonian Open Air Museum. It is a 15-minute walk from the Rocca al Mare stop or bus 42/43 to the Zoo stop. The museum grounds are vast and dark, but the path to the northeast is clear. Use a map on hand to navigate the dense forest paths.
18:04
Head to Kopli kalmistupark. This park is located to the northeast of the museum anchor. Arrive here as the light begins to fade. The park offers a quiet vantage point facing southwest, directly into the path of the setting sun.
18:14
Watch the sunset. On this date, the sun sets toward the WSW at 18:14. The golden light from 17:16 has already passed, but the twilight sky provides a soft, fading glow over the cemetery grounds.
18:44
End your evening with dinner at Chopsticks. This Asian restaurant is open until 21:00, so you will have plenty of time to eat after the sun has gone. It is located near Stroomi Beach, a reasonable distance from the museum area, but serves as a warm, lit conclusion to the walk.
Local tip
The walk from the museum to the park is through a dense forest. Do not attempt to navigate without a map or GPS, as the paths can be confusing in the dark.
