Start with a local craft beer at Põhjala Brewery & Tap Room. It is a short walk from the beach area and opens at noon, giving you plenty of time to settle in before the afternoon light shifts.

Head to Pikakari Beach. The water gets deep quickly and the large waves from passing ships create a unique swimming experience. Walk along the historical Katariina Pier to get your bearings.

Return to Põhjala Brewery & Tap Room for a pre-sunset drink. The golden light starts around 17:15, and the brewery is open until 01:00 on weekdays, making it a perfect spot to watch the sun dip toward the WSW.
Local tip
The sun sets toward the WSW on 15 October. Position yourself on the beach or at the pier to catch the final glow before it fades.
