Walk up to the Killesbergturm. The climb is steep but quick, and the tower offers the best vantage point for the sunset. The sun sets toward the WSW, so you will have a clear view of the light fading over the city. Arrive just before the sun dips below the horizon to catch the golden light starting around 16:02.

Head down to the Naturfreundehaus Steinbergle for dinner. It is a short walk from the tower and stays open late. The restaurant offers a warm, hearty meal to end the evening after the cool air at the viewpoint.
Local tip
The walk from the pub to the tower is uphill. Wear comfortable shoes. The pub closes at 22:00 on weekdays and 22:00 on weekends, so you have plenty of time before the sunset.
