Grab a seat at Carls Brauhaus for dinner while the light is still good. The restaurant serves decent Swabian cuisine and stays open until 23:00 on weekdays or 23:00 on Sundays. If it is Saturday, they serve until 01:00.

Walk eight minutes from the restaurant to Hauptbahnhof. Stand in the square and watch the sun set toward the WSW behind the 56-meter-high tower. The rotating Mercedes-Benz on top catches the final rays of light before it begins its night-time illumination.

Head to the Palast der Republik, an eight-minute walk from the station. This spot in a former public toilet house is the place to hang out in the evening. Get a beer from the fast barkeeper and find a spot on the ground outside to enjoy the night atmosphere.
